A Garden Watered By Your Tears.

“Sometimes God doesn’t calm the storm, He calms us”, and that is the ground many find themselves on. But seeds are planted on this ground, it is safe to cry here.

I know it is tempting to pray for God to help you escape the situation you are currently in, I know it feels like war. However, hear me when I say, this isn’t war, this isn’t punishment, this is process. This is purging, this is growing, this is breaking, and yes it is uncomfortable.

That is why I beg of you to cry.

Please cry some more.

Do you know that it is okay? It is okay to cry. Crying does not mean you lack faith, it does not mean you have accepted defeat. Crying means you are human, it means you have feelings, and it means you need God. Do not hold in those tears for you are causing a drought.

This is fertile ground.

Do you know that God wants all of you? Even the you in that moment that is trying to hide your tears away. He is a collector of tears ( Psalm 56:8 ), so allow them to fall at His feet.

This is fertile ground.

Allow your tears to be soaked into the ground on which you stay. “Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy” - Psalm 126:5. These tears you cry will not be in vain. A garden is being watered, soon you will understand.

So if in this season you find yourself crying more than usual, in this season you find yourself needing extra comfort, it is okay. Cry, and cry some more. This isn’t a punishment, it is a process.

Soon, you will bloom. Amen.
